To Let GO

Breaking ties, breaking ropes,
Breaking the anchor to the world,
Breaking that which holds
Me to mine and mine to all,
Each and every rope,
Each tie, each knot
Each different, each same,
Always strengthening eternally.
But to cut them all swift,
Of sound mind
With sound dread,
None can see the end.
To fly free
To lose that view
To lose that constant
To lose that love
What can be done?
Who would cut
The ties that make
The anchor to the world.
The aimless air,
The aimless distance, to all that see,
Gone forever to the eternal,
The nothing that constitutes all.
But to what could it be
To take the end away,
To disappear across
The world eternal.
What sights can be seen,
What marvels lay beyond,
What mysteries, what curiosities,
What exists beyond horizons?
Disaster, terror, destruction,
Plague, famine, poverty,
War, darkness, death,
Is that what lies beyond?
Or is there something different?
Something of which
None can compare
The glory and holy of it.
This thing, this mystery,
Greatness or darkness,
Will remain unresolved
Unless one has the courage
